AT CHRISTMAS, TEA IS COMPULSORY

Tämä ei tule olemaan se kaunisteltu kuvaus bloggaajan joulusta. Itse asiassa, tämä saattaa olla rehellisin postaus, jonka olen ikinä kirjoittanut. Rakastan joulua, todella paljon, mutta siitä on kadonnut se taika joka jouluun liittyi vuosia sitten. Tänä vuonna ei ollut valkoista joulua, isä oli töissä ja sain aikuisten lahjoja! (Älkää käsittäkö väärin, ne olivat parempia kuin mikään turha roju mistä pitäisin noin kuukauden.) Ja mitäkö minä tein muutaman päivän ajan? En mitään, en yhtään mitään. Söin suklaata koko ajan, olin liian kipeä edes lenkkeilläkseni ja tänään istuin lattialla kuunnellen The Weekndiä ja lukien nerokasta Sinkkublogia kunnes ahteristani hävisi tunto. Huomenna ehkä jopa poistun talosta. EHKÄ.

This is not going to be the polished description of a blogger's Christmas. Actually, this might be the most honest post I have ever written. I love Christmas, I really do but it has lost the magic it had years ago. This year Christmas wasn't white, dad was working and I had grown up presents! (Don't get me wrong, those were better than any junk I'm going to like for a month or so.) And what did I do for a few days? Nothing, absolutely nothing. I spent all the time eating chocolate, was too sick to go for a run and today I was sitting on the floor listening to The Weeknd and reading the most ingenious Sinkkublogi until I couldn't feel my bum. Tomorrow I might even leave the house. MIGHT.

GOLD

Viikko sitten vietettiin kaveriporukan viimeiset ylioppilasjuhlat. Onnea ihana Vanessa. ♥

A week ago we had the last graduation party of our group of friends. Congrats dear Vanessa. ♥

LIFE'S GOOD

Vietin huipun päivän Porvoossa Lontoossa tavatun kaverin kanssa. Vaihdettiin kuulumisia ja syötiin suklaakakkua aivan ihanassa Cafe Klockanissa (jossa kello kolmelta säikähdimme käkikelloa). Innostuin myös jälleen sisustusliikkeistä ja Brunbergin suklaista... Hupsis, Porvoo tuhoaa suunnitelmat säästämisestä. Tosin huomasin jälleen, että Suomessa on helppo säästää, ainakin mitä englannin kielisten kirjojen valikoimaan tulee.

I spent a great day in Porvoo with a friend I met in London. We talked and had chocolate cake in lovely Cafe Klockan (where we were startled at three o'clock by the cuckoo clock). I also got excited about the interior design shops and Brunberg chocolates... Oops, Porvoo destroys my saving plans. Although I once again realised that it is easy to save in Finland, at least when it comes to the selection of books in English.

MAYBE THIS WORLD IS ANOTHER PLANET’S HELL

Suomi-elämästä ei oo paljoa kirjoitettavaa. Päivät kuluu kaikki samalla tavalla; lenkkeilen, neulon ja teen ruokaa. Lontoo-ikävä kasvaa, mutta alkuviikon hyvien uutisten takia olen erittäin onnellinen juuri nyt.

There's not much to write about my life in Finland. All of my days are the same; running, knitting and cooking. The longing for London just gets worse but for the good news I received earlier this week I'm really happy right now.

THESE ARE THE TEARS OF A POOR GIRL

Tänään käytiin Vanessan kanssa Lahdessa Kätevä&Tekevä -messuilla keräämässä inspiraatiota ja suremassa rahattomuutta.

Today I went to Lahti to Kätevä&Tekevä crafts fair with Vanessa to get some inspiration and to grieve pennilessness.

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE BUT IT MADE HIM FEEL EVEN SADDER

Henkilökohtaisista syistä olen jälleen Suomessa. En tiedä olenko tyytyväinen tämän hetkiseen tilanteeseeni, mutta ehkä kaikki selkiytyy parin viikon sisään.

For personal reasons I'm back in Finland. I don't know if I'm happy with my current situation but maybe everything will make more sense in a couple of weeks.

HASTINGS

Viime sunnuntaina matkasin Hastingsiin näkemään ystävää, joka juuri muutti sinne, Rakastuin pikkuruiseen kaupunkiin, jossa oli kivinen ranta, kauniit näkymät ja ilmapiiri, joka ei ole yhtä kiireinen kuin Lontoossa. Hastingsin ainut huono puoli on se, että jos tahdot syödä muuta kuin fish and chips, ravintolaa on hankala löytää. Double egg juustoburgerit oli kuitenkin täydelliset.

Last Sunday I went to Hastings to meet my friend who just moved there. I fell in love with the tiny town with a rocky beach, nice views and atmosphere that wasn't as busy as in London. The only con with Hastings was that if you don't want to eat fish and chips, a restaurant is pretty hard to find. Those double egg cheese burgers were perfect though.

A PIZZA A WEEK

Lauantaina tuli nähtyä Lontoon likaisin lammikko, Tower Bridge (ensimmäistä kertaa) ja deckien hautausmaa. Kävin myös jälleen pizzalla.  

On Saturday I saw the dirtiest pond in London, Tower Bridge (for the first time ever) and the graveyard of decks. And I had pizza again.

SOME NICE SUNNY DAY

IIDA WAS HERE

Siskoni yöpyi meillä muutaman yön viime viikonloppuna. Vietimme suurimman osan hotellissa asuneen mummomme kanssa. Kävelimme ympäriinsä katsellen nähtävyyksiä, söimme, kävimme natural history museumissa ja London eyessa ja söimme hieman lisää. Mutta koska siskoni on hieman picky emme käyneet iltapäiväteellä... Ehkä vielä joku päivä. Kaiken jälkeen olen erittäin väsynyt. Kuitenkin, olin erittäin onnellinen kun sain katsoa elokuvaa ja syödä karkkia parhaan ystäväni kanssa. My sister stayed over at our house for a few days last weekend. We spend most of the time with our grandma who was staying in a hotel. We walked around to see the sites, ate, went to the natural history museum and the London eye and ate some more. But because of my sister is a bit picky we didn't have afternoon tea.. Maybe one day. After all of this I'm really tired. Nevertheless, I was really happy to watch a movie and eat sweets with my best friend.
